Revista Internacional de Sociología is a scientific journal published by CSIC, edited by the Instituto de Estudios Sociales Avanzados, which aims to integrate into the intellectual debate of our time the discipline it mainly represents - sociology, in its various fields of specialization - but also political science, anthropology and social and moral philosophy, paying special attention to the debates taking place in Spain, Latin America and the Euro-Mediterranean environment.

Beyond theoretical, empirical or epistemological research, RIS further wishes to be a suitable forum for presenting results of research that advance our understanding of fundamental social processes. Accepts articles in English or Spanish.

Founded in 1943 it began to be available online in 2007, in PDF format, maintaining printed edition until 2015. That year it became an electronic journal publishing in PDF, HTML and XML-JATS. Contents of previous issues are also available in PDF files.

Revista Internacional de Sociología is indexed in Web of Science: Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI); SCOPUS, CWTS Leiden Ranking (Journal indicators), ERIH Plus, REDIB, DOAJ and other national and international databases. It is indexed in Latindex Catalogue 2.0 and has obtained the FECYT Seal of Quality.
