The author presents a critical analysis of french sociological and ethnological literature about women and the family agriculture since the 60's. Firstly, he describes three diflferent periods of time and for each one presents a theoretical conception. In the 60's and 70's a fonctionalist conception of the family agriculture predominated (" organic " family, men and women complementarity). In the 90's an individualistic conception of the family emerged, based upon family relational ties and distinctive identity of women and men. Secondly, the autor presents a new approach to the relationship between women and the agricultural family focussing on the handing down of patrimony within the family agriculture.
