Los medios de comunicación y las nuevas tendencias del terrorismo internacional

This article tries to outline the new situation in which the complex relationship between the mass media and the intemational terrorism leads into. This association was defined by the experts as a symbiotic one, until the nineties. In this unknown context, characterised by terrorist actions more lethal, more motivated by religious causes, and which authority is less claimed, the links between the world of the media and the terrorism require a new reconsideration in order to tackle this unprecedented scenario, where the undertaking of the media is absolutely modified. The clarification of this change in essential to face research works that treat this specific topic, which is in an advantaged place in the intemational political agenda at the moment.
