The sustaining growth of Latin-American origin or ancestry population in the United States is causing an extensive debate about the absorbing ability of the American society and its evolution as a differentiated whole. In the following text, some outstanding data and notes from this population are reviewed from different perspectives, deducing from them where this evolution seems to be leading.
