The updated results in the study of intergenerational social mobility in Spain are presented following the traditional analysis of the OED Triangle (Social Origin, Education and Social Destiny) where the effect of work experience measured by age and years worked is introduced, applying a design that takes cohort, period, and age into account. The hypothesis establishes that intergenerational mobility has an effect linked to the years of experience in the labour market as an indicator of intragenerational mobility. We used three editions of the Living Conditions Survey (2005, 2011 and 2019) considering the population between 30 and 59 years of age. The results reaffirm some of the main conclusions of previous research, but also others that offer a new vision and allow us to glimpse an approach of the behaviour of Spain to the results that are being obtained in the most developed countries.
