THE BEST ARTICLE RIS AWARD

As every year, the Editorial Board of the Revista Internacional de Sociología (RIS) celebrated the meeting to select the BEST ARTICLE RIS 2022 from 15 articles published during the last year 2022, on the 23th of November 2023.The evaluation process was carried out in two phases, a pre-evaluation and a final phase, to discuss the quality and relevance of the papers. In the pre-evaluation phase, the collegiate decision by Editorial Board members designate the articles to pass toward final decision phase, on this phase, four articles were chosen as finalists.

The Editorial Board highlighted the theoretical and methodological soundness, the relevance of the results and the theoretical innovation presented in relation to the study of trafficking networks between Mexico and the United States. Above all, it highlights the work accumulated by Simón Pedro Izcara Palacios over the years.
